Effects

Harlequin boasts uplifting sativa effects without the heady euphoria associated with high THC strains making it a perfect strain for anytime of the day. As a high CBD strain, Harlequin will provide a calming effect and relax your entire body while helping to keep your spirit up. It can help boost focus and memory as well as inspire a little creativity in some.

Medical Benefits

Harlequin provides a decent amount of pain relief where it does lack the THC levels to provide higher levels of pain relief. Where it lacks in pain relief, it more than makes up for and excels in its ability to relax the mind and body entirely. It can help with depression although strains higher in antidepressant terpenes could provide a higher degree of medical benefit. It has enough THC to spark an appetite or make it more desirable and palatable for those with conditions that affect the ability to eat. Since it can be used anytime of the day it makes a great substitute for headache medication when needed. It's higher levele of pinene can also lend some benefits to those with ADD/ADHD increasing focus on activities as well as provide bronchial relief for Asthma sufferers.

Side Effects

As with all strains, Harlequin marijuana does have some reported side effects including but not limited to dizziness, dry mouth, dry eyes and in some rare cases, headaches. Dizziness is the most reported side effect as a result of the low THC levels still providing some low level psychoactive effects.

Growing

Harlequin is an easier strain to grow indoors and outdoors as it is relatively forgiving. Humidy levels should be kept about 50% for best growth. The Thai and Swiss landrace strains come through with a height that can reach 5-8 feet while the Nepali indica helps make this strain shine with its heavy resin production. The flowering time is between 8 and 9 weeks with a yield as high as 1-1.5 lbs. per square meter. This is one strain that does not benefit from an extended ripening time as the CBD degrades to CBN faster than THC lowering it CBD potential.

Genetics/Lineage

Harlequin is a cross of 4 landrace strains, Columbian Gold, Thai and Swiss Sativas and Nepali indica giving it a mostly sativa genetic profile.

Harlequin is a cross of Swiss sativa and Thai.

This strain's offspring are Harlox (Indica-Hybrid), Hurkle (Indica-Hybrid), HarleSin (Sativa-Hybrid), Harle-Tsu (Sativa-Hybrid), Pennywise (Indica-Hybrid),

Harlequin is special. The pain relief was not overwhelming but there was some and pretty stoned on 3 hits. The amazing part of Harlequin is the effect to reduce inflammation anywhere in the body. You sense it the next day not while smoking it. I have skin irritation for which there is really nothing to help except for zinc oxide which has only minimal effect. Harlequin is the...
